Cyber Abuse and BIPOC LGBTQ Youth Survivors (National LGBTQ+ Institute on IPV)

In today’s world, technology can be both a friend and foe to survivors of violence. This training explores the intersections of Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) in the LGBTQ+ community experiencing domestic violence, and the use of digital abuse as a tool of power and control. Through the use of real world examples, case studies, and participant discussion, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to recognize and support survivors of technology-facilitated harm that are also at increased risk of experiencing multiple systemic barriers to accessing care.

For accessibility and interpretation requests, please contact Keilani Garcia (she/they) at kgarcia@lalgbtcenter.org at least two weeks before the training date.
