March 26, 2026 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Peer mentorship is a critical strategy for supporting young adults impacted by community violence, while also leveraging their peer networks to influence younger youth to reduce violence. Peer mentorship is vital to youth violence prevention as it engages their peer network to identify conflicts, mediate situations, and encourage program engagement. Building on community networks already in place, this approach invests in developing young people’s capacity to manage community conflict and shift behavior. This webinar will provide an overview of peer mentorship as a violence prevention strategy, address how to develop peer mentorship approaches, and offer implementation tools and strategies.
