Stalking & Domestic Violence: What Healthcare Providers Need to Know

Stalking is a public health issue that is frequently overlooked and goes unscreened for by clinicians -- even though it directly intersects with domestic and dating violence. Healthcare settings are critical missed opportunities for clinicians to identify stalking, address health concerns, and help patients access the right services and resources to enhance their safety and consider their legal options. In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, this webinar -- presented by Angelita Olowu (BSN, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P, Trace Forensic Health Strategies) and SPARC's Dana Fleitman -- explores the intersections of stalking with intimate partner violence and provides practical strategies that healthcare professionals can utilize to better identify and respond to patients experiencing these prevalent co-victimizations.
